Patty’s
Closet Suggested Supply List
Patty's closet is part of the Bridges mentoring and support group program of Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center. It is a memorial to Patty Brown of St. Joseph's Parish. At her passing, her family donated $500.00 and the St. Joseph's Respect Life group matched it, to create this closet. Donations keep it filled with new and nearly new items needed by the moms and their babies.
Clients participate in the Bridges program and earn points to shop in the closet. The points are earned by doing a variety of positive things like meeting with their mentor, going to support group, reading parenting books, attending church or Bible studies, getting their GED, getting a job, etc. Basically it provides them with incentives to improve their life habits and skills and improves their parenting skills and, at the same time, provides for their needs and raises self-esteem.
